I agree with you about the lack of online functionality and messaging. They need to step it up, YOU HEAR ME NINTENDO!, but they do need to get on the ball. E3 is next week and I hope, oh, how I HOPE, the bring out the big guns. The Xbox 360's online service, Live, rocks. I like it very much but that is the only thing that would make it a selling point to me. The wii is fun and the wiimote thing and waggle, just makes playing more fun, idk, it just might be me. I find the Wii more enjoyable to play, going back to using a two handed traditional controller, like the 360 and PS3, just feels alien to me. I feel the wiimote is the better way to play games, when developers do it right (nudges devs). The 360 is cool, no way in hell would I buy a 360 before a PS3. As far as hardware PS3 has 360 beat. Considering the 360 is older that PS3 by a significant amount of time (not sure by how much). But still that price tag is a real reach, "good lord tha be alot of money!" (anybody remember that from In Living Color).
I hope that Nintendo busts out with and improved update for the Wii firmware and I want me a keyboard and I will use that message board more, but idk, we will have to see.
So to answer the question, I would take Wii over 360, but PS3 over 360 as well.
